Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee and Ben Tre Renewable Energy Joint Stock Company have just held the inauguration ceremony of Ben Tre V1-3 Wind Power Plant, in An Thuy commune, Ba Tri district.
As the province's first commercial wind power project, the Ben Tre V1-3 Wind Power Plant Project, invested by Ben Tre Renewable Energy Joint Stock Company, with a total capital of over 1,500 billion copper, starting on 5/4/2020.
The project has 7 wind turbine towers, with a capacity of 4.2 MW/turbine; turbine tower height 104 m; 75 m long propeller, 4.4 m cylinder diameter manufactured by Vestas - Denmark. The lifting substation has a capacity of 40 MVA and a 110 kV transmission line with 2 circuits, 11.6 km in length, passing through 5 communes, Ba Tri town and 22 kV underground cable line connected from the turbines leading into The lifting substation has a length of 12 km.
The plant will come into commercial operation before October 31, 2021, and enjoy preferential electricity prices according to Decision No. 39/2018/QD-TTg, dated September 10, 2018 of the Prime Minister. Expected annual output is 105 million kWh.

Currently, there are 19 wind power projects in Ben Tre province being implemented. As of October 31, 2021, there are 5 projects of 4 investors: No. 5 Wind Power Plant Tan Hoan Cau, Wind Power Plant V1-3 Ben Tre, Wind Power Plant VPL Ben Tre and Power Plant Binh Dai wind is recognized to generate electricity into the national grid of 93.7 MW. From now to the end of 2021, it is expected that an additional 90 MW of projects will be completed. Ben Tre strives to develop 150 MW by the end of 2021 to connect to the national power grid.
