Deputy Minister Khanh said that the import and export results exceeded 600 billion USD with the active contribution of Vietnam's logistics industry as a supporting factor in transshipment of goods. Logistics enterprises have made efforts to ensure the normal operation of Vietnam's supply chains, in the most difficult times, helping to transship large volumes of import and export goods.
In the short term, Vietnam's economy still faces epidemic risks, but growth prospects are still quite positive.
"There are many favorable factors that can create momentum for the development of logistics," said Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Khanh. Firstly, the world economy and Vietnam will have a strong recovery, supported by effective and growth stimulating policies from broad-based vaccination policies. Vietnam is still continuing to integrate deeply with the world economy, has many new generation FTAs, and import-export growth continues to be high, thanks to 15 signed FTAs, of which RCEP will go. come into effect from the beginning of next year. The countries participating in the RCEP agreement will create a free trade bloc that accounts for 30% of the population and 30% of global GDP.
In addition, Vietnam is also in the TOP of countries with the highest e-commerce development rate in Southeast Asia. Analyzing more growth opportunities of the logistics industry, Mr. Khanh said, RCEP put into practice since the beginning of the year, in the short term may not bring tangible results, but in the medium term, it will definitely create an area. A large free trade area will create a new supply chain in the region and this will be a new source of demand and a new driving force for the development of Vietnam's logistics service industry.
